It was November twenty-third and I wake up to hear a bang in the distance. I rush downstairs to see what is happening and I see soldiers lined up, what could be happening? The next thing I know I am grabbed from behind and then rushed outside the house. My body is rushed, next thing I know I am far away and then I realize that I am part of the war and I am also in the woods. Everyone is exhausted so we go to sleep, I wait until my dad is sleeping and I sneak out of our tent to go to our house and grab as many weapons as I can.
I rush past the campsite and it takes me about fifteen minutes to get back to the house but I got there. The house is messed up but I go to the spare room and see most of the weapons are unharmed! I grab as many as I can and by the time I am back at the campsite the sun is starting to come up so I decided to make breakfast. The first one to wake up is my dad and he is proud of me because I brought weapons and he starts to eat breakfast. The next thing I hear is cannons coming right toward us. Quickly my father and I wake everyone up and grab as many things as we can and head out to the train station. We see another soldier but this type of soldier is on our side!
We warn the soldier that there is a enemies coming and he decides to come with us, because if he didn’t come with us he would be defensless. We hear more cannons so we quickly go into the train and lock everything and wait. We decide to stay in the train until the next day. Today we fight for what we believe in. Even though we were to scared to fight in the beginning it is time to face the enemy and stop this war once and for all. I turn on my portable radio and hear that President Licholn knows that Chattoonoga is a very important city for imports and exports so he is sending reinforcement ASAP.
Suddenly we hear a crack and then all these supplies come into the train and we eat some food and we are not starving anymore. We decide to start the coal up again and go to the next city for about an hour. We deliever supplies to whoever needs them, we see tons of families homeless I was shocked. I quickly give families what they need when we run out of supplies we head back to Chattonooga to see what is happening now. We are informed that the war is over and the Union won! Which means our side won!
